Sad to see her go!!!

I've owned my Grande Marquis for 10 years. The only reason I'm considering trading her in is because I've found a 2006 model with 9,000 miles. If you maintain this vehicle it will stay out of the shop. I replaced the battery at year 5, the tires at year 4, and three spark plug coils. With regular oil changes we avoid the mechanic pretty well. Not a fan of high riding SUVs, but I love a big low ride!! This car is an ideal vehicle. I will be trading mine in at 87,000 but I'm positive she has another 87,000 in her.

Grandpa's car

Yes, the Grand Marquis is antiquated. It is too big, too heavy, and lacks the latest gizmos and features. But it is because of this and in spite of this that I chose it. The v-8 has plenty of power and fuel economy is far better than any full sized SUV. The sedan seats 6. Not too many cars can boast that these days. And the ride? It is the perfect road trip car. Yes, My grandpa had this car. Heck, My great aunt STILL drives a Grand Marquis and has had several for the past 24 years. Even Daddy drove one. Why? they are comfortable reliable reasonably fast and big. They work!

2008 Grand Marquis GS

Very smooth ride, measured MPG right at 20mpg (combo town and highway), decent sound system (factory) great a/c, good hang meat in it. Huge trunk, too bad has small temp tire. I am 6'3" so leg & head space more than adequate. 32,000 miles when I bought it 7/10/12, I drive about 20k/year, should easily last me 3 more years until I retire (if not longer lol)
