I love the power fold 3rd row seats, sunroof, and the V6 engine has plenty of get up and go. There are a few things that my car doesn't have that I wish it had...
There is no ashtray, not that I would use it for that purpose, but it's nice to keep business cards, spare keys, or other misc items. I wish the passenger seat had power features too as well as lumbar support for my back because when my husband drives, I am uncomfortable in the other seat. It also does this odd high pitched whistle sound when you hit about 50mph. I haven't figured out is it's coming through the vents, or what, it's annoying and loud, but plan to ask the mechanic to check when I have to take it in sometime.
Sad to see her go!!!
2010 Mercury Grand MarquisMichelle Smith - Memphis, TN09/01/2016
I've owned my Grande Marquis for 10 years. The only reason I'm considering trading her in is because I've found a 2006 model with 9,000 miles. If you maintain this vehicle it will stay out of the shop. I replaced the battery at year 5, the tires at year 4, and three spark plug coils. With regular oil changes we avoid the mechanic pretty well. Not a fan of high riding SUVs, but I love a big low ride!! This car is an ideal vehicle. I will be trading mine in at 87,000 but I'm positive she has another 87,000 in her.
Great replacement car
2003 Mercury Grand MarquisMarilyn - Spring, TX02/17/2015
I had a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis with 205K miles on it which was still running fine. The 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis had less than 61K miles. Based on the reliability of the previous car, I felt the 2003 Mercury would last me for many years to come.
