2003 Mercury Grand MarquisMarilyn - Spring, TX02/17/2015
I had a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis with 205K miles on it which was still running fine. The 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis had less than 61K miles. Based on the reliability of the previous car, I felt the 2003 Mercury would last me for many years to come.
Sad to see her go!!!

I've owned my Grande Marquis for 10 years. The only reason I'm considering trading her in is because I've found a 2006 model with 9,000 miles. If you maintain this vehicle it will stay out of the shop. I replaced the battery at year 5, the tires at year 4, and three spark plug coils. With regular oil changes we avoid the mechanic pretty well. Not a fan of high riding SUVs, but I love a big low ride!! This car is an ideal vehicle. I will be trading mine in at 87,000 but I'm positive she has another 87,000 in her.

The 99 Grand Marquis is a good car, though with age comes wear so you can't expect it to be perfect. My Grandparents own this car and it has never been serviced and has only had the oil changed and tires rotated nothing else and it still runs like new with 106,000 miles and hopefully many more.
