I've had my Mercury Mariner two months, and I like the inside space, the quality of the materials, the location of the instrumentation, and the ease of handling on the road. It's a 6 cyl. so I get good mileage, and even some oomph in the power department. The only thing that I wish would have been improved is the suspension; this one is a little bit stiff. Bets of all, my wiffe likes its looks.
Bought this when planning a trip to DC. Seemed comfortable enough on the test drive, but found out after a few hours on the road that there is no lumbar support. Ended up shoving some small pillows behind my lower back to relieve some of the tension. Also, the tires were very loud. When I got it checked at the tire shop, I was told that they had never been rotated and were worn to the inside. Nice for a road trip, huh?

My Mariner is a smooth ride, it's got more interior room and that's nice because I always have passengers and my old car had us in very close quarters.
I like the extra console space, I like to be prepared for lots of things, having that storage space allows me to have the things I want without cluttering up the car.
I don't like:
*Road noise, I have to turn my radio up loud to hear it at a normal level because of the road noise.
*Seats do not adjust for shorter people, I am 5'0 tall and am having to try many different things to be able to sit up high enough to see my hood.
*No USB port. It has a 3.5mm jack and it's very inconvenient. In addition to car chargers I had to buy a jack to hook my iPod up to my car and that cord is very long so it adds more cord clutter than I needed.
