Love the car. It turns heads and is comfortable to drive. Handles great, very smooth ride. You have to watch your speed because the car hardly feels like it is moving. The only thing is for a woman not to tall the back is a bit high and can be hard to see clearly when backing up. Other than that not bad on gas either for the V6 model. Would buy a milan again.
The Mercury Milan Premier 4 cylinder is a very solid car. This particular model has leather interior and a sun roof. These amenities make the car feel very luxurious and special. The seats are comfortable and supportive and the sun roof gives the feel of a convertible. The 4 cylinder power plant is very adequate for commuting and has plenty of power when the engine RPM go over 4500. Gas mileage over the daily commute of 25 miles is averaging 25-26 MPG and two trips on the highway have yielded 32 and 34 MPG. The suspension is tight making the ride a little bumpy with a feeling of connection to the road. I am 5'11" tall and my head is within an inch of the roof when the power seat is elevated to it's maximum, this allows good sight lines but the proximity of the roof is sometimes distracting. The view out the rear window is compromised by the brake warning light in the middle which interferes with viewing the middle of the highway in the rear. The angle of the rear window gives the feeling of a gunslit by limiting the driver's up and down sight. The electronic throttle takes some time to adjust to, as response is just hair behind pressing the pedal and a little jumpy when moving off from a stop. It is also weird that the pedal does not move when cruise control is engaged. Small adjustments. The Milan Premier 4 cylinder met all the gas frugality and performance expectations and has far exceeded the comfort and driving enjoyment requirements. My thanks to the sales representative who steered me to it.
