Customer Review Summary for Mercury
Very Good Value!
2010 Mercury Grand MarquisChuck - El Toro, CA03/01/2015
I owned this specific car (6PJJ 743) and drove it on three round-trips to eastern Tennessee. It eats up the miles effortlessly and will cruise all day at 70 MPH with no strain and returns very good fuel economy considering its' size and the huge amount of belongings I carried. The after-market dual exhaust system that I added helps the fuel economy. It actually feels like a smaller car in city driving and maneuvers into parking spaces easily. Dollar for dollar, it is a very good value. The reason I sold this car is that I own another Grand Marquis and did not need this one
2008 Mercury Mountaineer
2008 Mercury MountaineerWho Dat - Nashville, tn03/22/2011
I bought the V8 model used with 36K miles. It is spaceous, comfortable and has plenty of power. I have towed heavy machenery with no issues. I am averaging 14-15 miles per gallon city and 18-19 highway. The third set of seat comes in handy but when down, the back cargo space provides plenty of room.
This is a very satisfying SUV except for the typical-of-the-class issue of less-than-great gas mileage (15-19, city-Hwy). I previously had a 1999 Eddie Bauer Explorer that also had V8 with fulltime AWD. I love the power and FTAWD but the suspension on this Mountaneer is so much more comfortable than that of the explorer. Yeah, it still feels like a truck but it's comfortable enough that I'm considering selling my car and driving it all the time. BTW, I purposely bought a model with cloth interior because I'm not crazy about leather and frankly, at least in cloth the seats on this model are more comfortable than those in the newer body style 2002-06.
