Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4.571 reviews) As a car salesman, I have the oppurtunity to drive a lot of different vehicles. After seeing all of the choices that were available to me and my family I decided to purchase a 2006 Mercury Mariner Premier. It has been a wonderful and reliable vehicle. Having an infant in a rear facing carseat, it was difficult with my husband being just about 6 feet to find a car that would accomadate both for space. Luckily this mariner is everything that I signed up for and I would recomend it to anyone.

2001 Mercury Mtneer

This is a very satisfying SUV except for the typical-of-the-class issue of less-than-great gas mileage (15-19, city-Hwy). I previously had a 1999 Eddie Bauer Explorer that also had V8 with fulltime AWD. I love the power and FTAWD but the suspension on this Mountaneer is so much more comfortable than that of the explorer. Yeah, it still feels like a truck but it's comfortable enough that I'm considering selling my car and driving it all the time. BTW, I purposely bought a model with cloth interior because I'm not crazy about leather and frankly, at least in cloth the seats on this model are more comfortable than those in the newer body style 2002-06.

Great experience

I am very pleased with my car and all the features of my car. I was driving a Impala, I loved that car but for someone that is 6'7" an 285lbs and in law enforcment, it was a very tight and cramped ride when in uniform and all the gear. I do not have this problem with my Grand Marquis, it is very roomy for anyone that is in the car. I am also amazed that on a recent trip on East 64 through the hills of West Virginia, I averaged 28.5 mph both ways of the trip. I am completly satisfied with my purchase of this car. I would definitely buy another one in a few years if they were still being made, bad decision Ford Mercury, very bad Happy Customer
