Mini Cooper S
This is my first Mini and just think it is awesome. Fast enough for a small car; not that I'm racing around town beating larger cars - LOL. Interior feels above average in quality of materials and look. I'm 6'1" and sit comfortably even on long trips. The manual drive/stickshift is smooth and feels instictive when shifting. The suspension is tight and can be a bit rough but is fantastic when you are doing cornering. Feels like you are on rails and had no slide even with the OEM 16 inch wheels. Little quirks like the window button being on center counsole, the panoramic sunroof can be warm on hot days, wished the fog lamps stayed on all the time instead of turning off when you turn off the the car, same with the sport button staying on, and double pulling the doorhandles to open the door all take some take sometime to get used to their unique function.
Mini Madness...in a good way !
Having a friend who is a Mini lover kind of pushed me into buying one. I have had trucks, SUVs, and muscle cars, but I have to say I have never been more happier than owning this Mini Cooper Clubman S. Being single, it has more than enough room for what I need. I love the split back doors and the passenger side suicide door...... I am loving being able to to take it in and out of automatic to manual and the sport suspension is fun on the back roads of TN. All the while being able to slip into spaces and make turns I never could before. I have also been getting about 380 miles out of a tank of gas which is only 13 gallons with an auxiliary 2.5...I only fill up every two weeks now. Being a big guy ( 6'0" ) and 240 lbs, I was quite surprised with how much room there is and how comfortable I am as well..... love all the little bells and whistles. A great buy all the way around.....
My Clubman S
This is one of the most exhilarating little cars that I ever driven. It handles like a go-cart car on the street. The ride is a little noisy at some points when riding over rough surfaces with the run flats but it's liveable. I'm quite surprise of the numerous recalls on the vehicle but that's with most cars these days. The gas mileage is adequate for my needs but if you're looking for 38+ or better then the Mini Clubman is not the car for you. My best gas consumption was 29.1 miles per gal and that's driving over 70+. The car is quite solid but there are some squeaks and tweedy bird sounds in the cabin while driving but they are managable and they can be eliminated by the dealer. Overall the car is a charm to have. You will not outrun a 2010 Porsche 911 but I promise, you will have just as much fun if not more for less.
