Used 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse for Sale
Reviews for 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Eclipse Special Edition
It's a nice looking car that offers cheap thrills; be prepared to attract cops and high revving pocket rockets. Not recommended as a "family car"; much better as a commuter stress reliever.
Great Car for the Price
I own a 2007 Eclipse GT. It is a great car, I cant think of any other car with as much quality and performance at the same price. The other day I got it up to about 105mph, I'm gonna try and push 130 my next opportunity. Keep in mind I'm talking about a GT. Positives: Fast, sounds good, looks good, Rockford Fosgate kicks some serious butt, front seats are comfortable and A/C works beautifully which is a must here in CA. Negatives: Blind spots(you get used to them), it has the turning radius of a pickup, Back seats are uncomfortable and it is front wheel drive. A car like this should at least be RWD or AWD. It is also definitely more cute than it is mean looking.
I had researched this car before and the best thing I found was the warranty period is longer than anyone else who sells a sport type car. 08 seems to be the last year Mitsubishi kept the manual and went with a sportronic transmission. My recommendations and rating is because I don't know anyone else who likes a true stick shift with a tight suspension and almost no room for a back passenger. The GT has plenty of power that needs to be controlled or your spinning the wheels and activating the traction control. A few minor down sides I did not like is the wide turning radius and when the window is down the door has a small non-retractable window in front that looks to jab you in the face if your not careful entering.
