I love my new car -- especially that beautiful burnt orange paint job. The black leather & burnt orange suede interior is especially nice. Plus I love my sunroof and the big spoiler on the back. So glad to be rid of my gas guzzler. This car will definitely save me money and gas. Hook 'Em Horns!!!
I own a 2007 Eclipse GT. It is a great car, I cant think of any other car with as much quality and performance at the same price. The other day I got it up to about 105mph, I'm gonna try and push 130 my next opportunity. Keep in mind I'm talking about a GT.
Positives: Fast, sounds good, looks good, Rockford Fosgate kicks some serious butt, front seats are comfortable and A/C works beautifully which is a must here in CA.
Negatives: Blind spots(you get used to them), it has the turning radius of a pickup, Back seats are uncomfortable and it is front wheel drive. A car like this should at least be RWD or AWD. It is also definitely more cute than it is mean looking.
2008 Mitsubishi Eclipseoriginal is best - houston, tx12/30/2010
I had researched this car before and the best thing I found was the warranty period is longer than anyone else who sells a sport type car. 08 seems to be the last year Mitsubishi kept the manual and went with a sportronic transmission. My recommendations and rating is because I don't know anyone else who likes a true stick shift with a tight suspension and almost no room for a back passenger. The GT has plenty of power that needs to be controlled or your spinning the wheels and activating the traction control. A few minor down sides I did not like is the wide turning radius and when the window is down the door has a small non-retractable window in front that looks to jab you in the face if your not careful entering.
While the last Mitsubishi Eclipse rolled off of the production line several years ago, you can still find this sleek and iconic little sports coupe in the market today. Americans enjoyed a 20-plus year love affair with this fun Japanese car and its powerful engines, sleek styling, and affordability.
