I've had several two seat sports cars and also convertable sporty-type mid-size cars; the eclipse is a very sharp handling and great looking sports car that can also carry a couple of grand kids...IF they've been good!!! Audio is above what you would expect from a factory unit. Advise you not to skimp on tires when time to buy....get as sticky as you can afford.... (Lower treadwear # =higher traction=faster wearout! Treadwear rating of AA;Temp. rating A) Middle of the pack tire would be around 360 Treadwear!!!
Really great car in twisty, glad you don't have a S.U.V. roads!!! Don't expect 40 m.p.g., but I almost got 30 m,p,g, on one trip when I actually was off the skinny pedal!!! LOVE my "TOTAL ECLIPSE"
This Spyder Rocks

I bought this Eclipse Spyder 2 months ago and haven't stopped laughing with joy the whole time! This convertible drives like a top-notch performance vehicle. It even has a loud "purr" when it starts....which I didn't expect from a 4 cylinder motor! It's got a lot of "oomph" and can meet my need for speed. It's comfortable and the 9 speaker Rockfort Fosgate sound system is fantastic. It's great looking and I get compliments wherever I go....even from strangers. I think that this was a great car to purchase and I'm soooo glad I "took the leap"!
While the last Mitsubishi Eclipse rolled off of the production line several years ago, you can still find this sleek and iconic little sports coupe in the market today. Americans enjoyed a 20-plus year love affair with this fun Japanese car and its powerful engines, sleek styling, and affordability.
