I bought this car about a month ago and so far it's not a bad car. I have noticed that the brakes squeak and the cig lighter in the ront console doesn't work. Haven't had the time to take off to get those looked at, but it is a very nice looking car
The Eclipse GT is the product of Mitsubishi's 'World Class" spirit of making cars. This spirit lives in the Eclipse. The car is embodiment of "fun"! It's built solid, looks great and drives like a sports car should. A random motorist, my pharmacist and a stranger at a local restaurant have all gone out of their way to tell me how 'NICE' a car I have. Three compliments in just a month! They're right too, it is a fantastic vehicle! I'm a fan!
I purchased the GTS V6, 5-speed with Infinity surround sound and 6-disc in-dash CD changer with a leather interior and sunroof about four months ago and have been extremely happy with my purchase.
I had test driven other cars and compared similar vehicles from other manufacturers and this one was by far teh best value for money. It has pick up, control and is very economical on gas. I was especially surprised with how good the transmission felt. I have driven other stick shifts before and this car is easily the most fun to drive (the other household car is a Subaru WRX, which is great for off road but is a bit finicky about how you shift, resulting in a bit more concentration at the end of a hard day and while stuck in traffic).
While the last Mitsubishi Eclipse rolled off of the production line several years ago, you can still find this sleek and iconic little sports coupe in the market today. Americans enjoyed a 20-plus year love affair with this fun Japanese car and its powerful engines, sleek styling, and affordability.
