I purchased my 2004 Limited endeavor used. I love it and since my purchase which has been less that 2 months, get an abundance of compliments from onlookers. My daughters love the blue space lights from the dash and the sound effects of the stereo and the DVD system. There are lucite side blades that seperate the windows front and rear, that tend to peel and can't be painted only replaced. This is probably more prevelant in the Navy and Black Endeavors.
Overall, the Endeavor AWD is an all around stable, enjoyable, practical, and suprisingly nimble SUV. Having owned several more off-road minded vehicles (trucks, Jeep, etc.) I had some initial misgivings about the Endeavor and its AWD drive train but those were quickly put to rest as the 6cyl engine does a great job of carrying the car through a wide variety of conditions from dry to wet to mud to snow with little issue.
I also enjoy sportronic automatic that allows shifting of gears when needed. This improves performance a good bit although a fifth gear would be welcome.
The car is very comfortable and does well on long trips loaded down with passengers and cargo. The interior is very roomy and is able to carry a very large amount of cargo, more than other SUV's I have owned in the same class.
I own the base LS model in AWD and think it well equipped as is although I added roof rack crossbars for carrying outdoor gear.
A decent truck for dirt roads and light snow but snappy enough for driving to the office, this is a good buy and I have had no issues.
