This is our 2nd Mitsu ( we owned the "mirage" - the precursor to the Lancer and ran it 225,000 miles and still got our money back out of it!) This just runs and runs. All 5 of us can fit in it comfortably to zip around town the fuel economy is great!
Not the flashiest of vehichles, but DEPENDABLE, COMFORATABLE and best of all AFFORDABLE.
nice basic car

This car has a CVT. It will drift back, while in drive, on an incline. Acceleration from standing is delayed. Rapid highway acceleration can seem like being in a slingshot. Sometimes the automatic "shifting" feels unusual/out of synch.
I would NOT recommend any CVT equipped vehicle for stop/go commuting or around town. For highway travel out of traffic, it's good. Personally, I'll stick to fully geared transmissions.
Disappointed and Humiliated

I will recommend to anyone, whos looking for a sport car, buy it new if possible. And if its used, make sure you buy it from someone who knows really well, about the car you buying. My personal experience is -10, from transmission and fuel pump problems, to a tire falling out of the car, running. Yeah you heard right. The tire came out. Anyways. As i said, you want a mitsu ralliart or an evo. Go to mitsubishi.
