I bought an 2012 EVO X from CarMax was a great machine.
Sold it back a year later for a Lexus IS-F. I'only regret the IS-f not a manual
If your Married and your mate does not like this car. they will force you to hate it.
The Evo handles like a race car, it hugs the road and feels every fault of the road.
Motor is powerful for it size, but i still feel bias to a 4 banger.
I would recommend this Evolution if you can't hold onto a two door coupe like a mustang or 370z. Be aware of the tires that come from the factory too expensive buy PS2. recommend two sets if you live in an area that snows. Also without modification this car sounds very boring in the cabin and tends to have two much body lean for the feedback you get from the road.

I will recommend to anyone, whos looking for a sport car, buy it new if possible. And if its used, make sure you buy it from someone who knows really well, about the car you buying. My personal experience is -10, from transmission and fuel pump problems, to a tire falling out of the car, running. Yeah you heard right. The tire came out. Anyways. As i said, you want a mitsu ralliart or an evo. Go to mitsubishi.
Right Car for this Economy

This is my first Mitsubishi car. I am very please with it. Down sizing from a 6 cylinder and a larger car to a 4 cylinder isn't to bad. I am learning to give it more gas when entering the highway. It is great on gas and is very comfortable for four people and rides very smoothly. The economy being the way it is, a Mitsubishi Lancer is the car to have.
