Lancers are fun to drive and economical to own
I would recommend this car on several different levels if you have a family it is a four-door sedan that still has the sporty body and pep that you would expect from a coup while being versatile for a family . This is the second lancer that I have owned and I know during collisions the cab holds together very well...totaled my previous one with multiple rolls and walked out of it. Gas mileage is on the higher end of acceptable if you're even with reason one tank can get over 400 miles . This car can just as quick go off road as it can be used every day in city traffic and drives exceptionally during a rain and other inclement weather .
It's fun, fast, and affordable
I drive this car every day about 60 miles per day and I've never run out of range. I used to spend $300/month on gas but now I have no gas costs. My electric bill has only increased about $20/month even with a full charge daily. With more charging stations in the city I've been able to extend my range to 100+ miles by only spending about 5 -10 minutes at a level 3 quick charger. My daily commute to work is 50 miles round trip which includes about 30 miles on the freeway. During my lunch break I drive 10 miles round trip to a fitness center to workout. One of the most fun things about this car is the instant torque. I can zip around almost anybody on surface streets and comfortably cruise around 70mph on the freeway.
Fun to drive and great MPG
We drive down rutted dirt roads and need lots of ground clearance. The Outlander Sport has the best ground clearance by far for it's price and MPG. I typically get 30-31 mpg in mixed driving and better on long trips. It is not peppy so if you are an aggressive driver who loves to pass, choose another car. And please don't live near me and my Mitsubishi.
