Customer Review Summary for Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Fun to drive and great MPG
2014 Mitsubishi Outlander SportKMGGA Kelly - Comer, GA07/21/2015
We drive down rutted dirt roads and need lots of ground clearance. The Outlander Sport has the best ground clearance by far for it's price and MPG. I typically get 30-31 mpg in mixed driving and better on long trips. It is not peppy so if you are an aggressive driver who loves to pass, choose another car. And please don't live near me and my Mitsubishi.
I was looking at the Honda CR-V but felt it was too plain for my tastes. I really liked the options available on the Outlander Sport and the body styling is much more aggressive than the CR-V. The car drives comfortably which helps make an hour long commute quite bearable.
Doesn't have a lot of "get up and go" when trying to merge in to traffic on the highway but drives well otherwise--at least it gets gas mileage. Biggest issue is lack of space--cargo space isn't enough for our active family and there's not enough passenger room for those sitting in the back. I can see how this would be a great fit for someone with a smaller family that doesn't need a ton of cargo room but I wish I'd taken it back within the 5 day "try out" period.
Sport utility vehicles, or SUVs, are quickly becoming the most popular vehicle segment among American drivers. There are many reasons for this, notably that these vehicles have become more affordable since their introduction in the mid- to late 1990s and that they’re also more fuel-efficient than ever.
