Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.611 reviews) Do not purchase this car. It has a steering lock failure that will cost you around $1000 to fix and will leave you stranded. When Nissan made the car they knew it was going to have this problem because they put it in the owners manual under Instruments and controls 2-13. I am currently fighting with Nissan to reimburse me for the expenses that it has cost me to get my car working again. I bought this car in hopes of having a reliable vehicle but it left me stranded as well as hundreds of other people as I researched this issue more on the internet.

Black Beauty!

This Altima has plenty of room and power. It's deceptively quick. Definitely a "sleeper ". Great performance and handling. Smooth engine and transmission. I was originally going to buy an Infiniti G37, but after a test drive I decided to go with the larger Altima. It has more interior room and looks very sporty. Even though it's rated at 270 horsepower(vs 328 in the G37) it's just as quick. The only thing that I don't like so far are the cheap Nexen all-season tires it came with. They are good for normal driving, but definitely not great for the performance this car has.

Great Car

This car gets really good gas mileage, and is way roomier than it looks. Plenty of leg space in the back for tall people and plenty on horsepower, even though it's a 4 cylinder. Trunk is spacious and the hands free is easy to set up and works very well. The push to start feature is great and the valet key works like a charm to keep your possessions safe when car is being washed or driven by others.

Not so great

It's really a great car but there's a problem with the power steering pump that causes it to make a high pitched beeping noise at low speeds. So when you're stuck in traffic and the pump starts beeping and whining, it's enough to make you want to scream. Nissan dealerships refuse to fix it. Major disappointment.
