Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.611 reviews) I almost passed this car by in my search. Am I glad I didn't. My heart wants a sports car. My family needed a practical car. This car is both. The v-6 is powerful, the handling responsive, the interior comfortable and secure feeling. The gas mileage is averaging just over 25 mpg with about 1/3 highway miles. And my lead foot. Is acceptable in snowy conditions, but isn't all wheel drive, so that's to be expected. Other car is a Mazda cx-5. My daughter calls that one zoom zoom. She calls my Altima vroom vroom. It is seriously a performance car hiding in a family car. Better than a 14 mustang v-6 convertible we rented on vacation as far as performance. And much more practical. I love it, only wish mine had premium audio.

Black Beauty!

This Altima has plenty of room and power. It's deceptively quick. Definitely a "sleeper ". Great performance and handling. Smooth engine and transmission. I was originally going to buy an Infiniti G37, but after a test drive I decided to go with the larger Altima. It has more interior room and looks very sporty. Even though it's rated at 270 horsepower(vs 328 in the G37) it's just as quick. The only thing that I don't like so far are the cheap Nexen all-season tires it came with. They are good for normal driving, but definitely not great for the performance this car has.

Wheel lock failure

Do not purchase this car. It has a steering lock failure that will cost you around $1000 to fix and will leave you stranded. When Nissan made the car they knew it was going to have this problem because they put it in the owners manual under Instruments and controls 2-13. I am currently fighting with Nissan to reimburse me for the expenses that it has cost me to get my car working again. I bought this car in hopes of having a reliable vehicle but it left me stranded as well as hundreds of other people as I researched this issue more on the internet.
