Awesome SUV

Great SUV and extremely satisfied with price. Plenty of space for kids but if planning to use 2 car seats, 3rd row seating is impossible. Roof rack will come in handy for those summertime road trips. Redesigned dashboard is very techno suave, must for tech-ees. Be sure to do research 2008 models have factory recall on seatbealts, check it out first...

Big and nice

We have only had the SUV for acouple of months and we love it. My wife has been on me for some time to buy a full size SUV. Economy and gas has held us back. Both did not look like is was going to get better so we forged a head. We drove many styles and models of several SUV's. Armada dove more like a car than a truck. Outside the fuel milage everything else is great.

From Truck to SUV

I've been driving Ford trucks since 97. Regular, extra, and crew cabs. 4.2 V6, 4.6 V8, 5.4V8 engines. From stock to mild after market add on products. In my opinion they are very good trucks. For multiple reasons I needed to get out off my truck and into an SUV. I tested the Yukon, Tahoe, Expedition, Aspen, and the FX 35. After I drove the Armada I knew this was the SUV for me. Because of the body design I wasn't to convinced that I would even like the Armada. From the side it looks a little weird at the door pillars. But once you get in there is plenty of room in the first and second row for 6 foot plus passengers, one of the reasons why I chose the Armada over the others. The main reason is the engine and its rate of exceleration, OMG! To me this SUV is more sport than utility although it does that well too. I've had both second and third rows down to haul gear, I've had all three rows filled with passengers, and a combination of the above, and no matter what the Armada takes off like a rocket. You will never have a problem jumping in to traffic with this SUV. I've driven it up to 100 mph and the suspension gives a smooth and stable ride. Want to know about MPG, I live about 8 miles south of Downtown L.A. CA. and I made it to the Hotel Rio in Las Vegas, NV. with just under half a tank left doing 70-90 mph. I never did that in any of my trucks, not even the V6. I'm not going to lie to you, I miss my Ford truck, but the more I drive my "08" Armada, I feel I made the right choice to make a change.

They’re big. They’re bold. They’re kinda in your face. Tall pickup trucks and SUVs have the kind of ride height that gets you over, through, and around the kind of rough terrain which stops other vehicles in their tracks. If you live in a place with lots of snow, mud, or uneven ground, ride height (defined as the distance between the bottom of your truck’s tires and the lowest point on the underside) is probably more important to you than road-hugging and handling characteristics and strong fuel efficiency.
