I would recommend the armada because it is a very roomy vehicle.. Lots of room for a big family and very power. It's not the most nicest looking vehicle but it it's not bad looking, but it will do what you need it to do...I Would recommend this vehicle to all that wants a real vehicle to work for you, because this this a work horse.. My short wife said this is the best suv she has owned hands down..
I've been driving Ford trucks since 97. Regular, extra, and crew cabs. 4.2 V6, 4.6 V8, 5.4V8 engines. From stock to mild after market add on products. In my opinion they are very good trucks. For multiple reasons I needed to get out off my truck and into an SUV. I tested the Yukon, Tahoe, Expedition, Aspen, and the FX 35. After I drove the Armada I knew this was the SUV for me. Because of the body design I wasn't to convinced that I would even like the Armada. From the side it looks a little weird at the door pillars. But once you get in there is plenty of room in the first and second row for 6 foot plus passengers, one of the reasons why I chose the Armada over the others. The main reason is the engine and its rate of exceleration, OMG! To me this SUV is more sport than utility although it does that well too. I've had both second and third rows down to haul gear, I've had all three rows filled with passengers, and a combination of the above, and no matter what the Armada takes off like a rocket. You will never have a problem jumping in to traffic with this SUV. I've driven it up to 100 mph and the suspension gives a smooth and stable ride. Want to know about MPG, I live about 8 miles south of Downtown L.A. CA. and I made it to the Hotel Rio in Las Vegas, NV. with just under half a tank left doing 70-90 mph. I never did that in any of my trucks, not even the V6. I'm not going to lie to you, I miss my Ford truck, but the more I drive my "08" Armada, I feel I made the right choice to make a change.
This is one of the most capable and comfortable SUVs on the market. It has plenty of power, good ground clearance (in case you want to take it on light to moderate off-roading), great ride, quiet cabin, and decent mileage (given it's mass and weight). I've driven comparable offerings from Dodge, Chevy and Ford and none of them come close to the complete package offered in the Nissan. This is our third Armada, the only vehicle we've ever repurchased. There's several good reasons for that. In short, this truck excels in many ways.
