2006 Nissan FrontierDo It Yourselfer - Ohio09/20/2009
I have driven the Nissan Frontier for approximately two months now. I am thrilled with this vehicle. The performance is vastly superior to that of my two previous trucks of a different manufacturer. The engine is powerful, smoothe and quiet. The transmission shifts much smoother than what I am used to. The breaks are superior to those of he other trucks I have owned. The ride is quieter and smoother. I am perfectly satisfied with this vehicle. It is evertthing I had hoped it would be.
Overall a nice mid-sized truck. I'm over 6ft tall and over 200 lbs. Nissan redesigned the Frontier in 06 and made the cab larger. I have plenty of head, shoulder and leg room. No problem at all shifting gears. I have the extended cab and the jump seats are good for small children, but nothing larger. No issue though since extra seating was not a priority. I did want extra storage in the cab so the extended cab works out well. The 4x4 performed very well in the snow & ice this winter. Glad I had the 4x4 option. Gas mileage is 17/21. Not bad for a V6 4x4. I especially like the 6th gear; RPMs are around 2200 at 70 mph. Body style plus pin-striping looks very good. Silver color doesn't show dirt. My neighbors thought I bought a brand new truck. They were shocked to find out it was 4 years old. Mileage is just over 58000 and the truck runs extremely well and is very tight. Love it.
