I had the 2005, 68k miles, CrewCab, 4.0L, V6, 4x4, 6 spd man for one week, then the ignition module burned up, leaving me and my family stranded one evening while out to dinner. One week later and I had a working Frontier again. This is my 3rd Frontier, and despite this problem, I dont regret my purchase. It feels considerably bigger than the prior year models, but is only 4 inches wider. Comfort and noise levels are great for this 4.0L V6. Big increase in HP and Torque from prior year models is very noticeable. Fuel economy is approx 20mpg in town. Having a 6 spd manual, at interstate speeds, as long as your not trying to break the land speed record, the mpg is a little better than that. It has a spray-in bed liner (stock), and that cargo tracking system, which is great for securing down loads. 8 cup holders, not 6 (as advertised), 3 car-lighter power outlets, one of which is 'power-on' even when car is turned off. I live in the Chicagolan area, and for the snow, the 4wd works great, even at slow speeds while turning corners. Front passenger seat folds forward flat, having a firm flat surface, if you need to use it as a desk or table. 2 glove-boxes, one of which is not obvious. The Nissan Frontier is also made in the USA, so you dont have to feel that you must buy one of those big American trucks in order to 'buy american'.

I have had my truck for a little over a month now and love it. I took it up to the mountain for a snowboard trip and the 4 wheel drive was awesome!
Took it on a small off road trail too and it was awesome. The V-6 motor is throaty and powerful. The interior is spacious and ergonomic. I am 5'10" and 185 pounds so I didn't want a full size truck. I was looking at Tacoma's but they were so much more expensive. I have had Nissan's and Toyota's for the past 17 years and I love both of them. They have always exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend test driving this truck if you are in the market for a mid sized truck. The motor and transmission are so solid and strong.

I am someone that strongly prefers to drive a pick-up truck over any other vehicle. I drive alot though and do not want to spend my entire paycheck on gas. This truck suits all the average Joe's needs without terrible gas mikeage.
