While you have to be vigilant about getting it charged up if you do a lot of driving, not having to spend any money on gas is so wonderful! Fun little car!
Great Commuter Car around town
2011 Nissan LeafBrian Woodward - Las Vegas, NV05/17/2015
Awesome for running around town. Super low maintenance. Just plug in to recharge 4-5 hours @ 240 volts at home at night. Less than $40 a month for 1000 miles. Range is 50-55 miles per charge which is MORE than enough around town. Public charging in LV is free at Nissan and most public stations...Use Plugshare app for stations.
2011 Nissan LeafLeaf let down - Las Vegas, NV10/09/2012
This car is AMAZING!!! Has an amazingly smooth ride, super quick acceleration and purely a joy to drive. Downside...the mileage per charge isn't even remotely close to what the manufacturer reports. Many a day I maxed out at only 36 miles on a full charge. :-( Very disappointing if I can't even drive my car cross town and back. Most days I would get close to 50 miles of drive time. Mileage isn't true miles either, it would take me 30 miles of charge to go less than 8 miles. I don't know why they call it miles, when they aren't true miles. Great errand car, but could never be used to travel outside the city limits. 6 months into my purchase and I am going to have to get rid of it. Such a disappointment because this cars is such a pleasant surprise to drive.
