Customer Review Summary for Nissan Maxima
Solid Sports Sedan - better than my Infiniti G37
2013 Nissan MaximaMike Berger - Winter Springs, FL11/14/2016
Very enjoyable ride. Lots to love. I like it better than the 2013 Infiniti G37 that I leased new, though there are pros and cons to each. My only reservations with the Maxima are that the CVT transmission is kind of plodding until the accelerator is pretty far down, and the tires for the 19-inch wheels on the Sport Package are quick to lose tread and expensive to replace. Overall I would recommend enthusiastically to anyone who wants something sporty in a sedan without being completely over the top with engine power, and doesn't mind a little road noise a stiff drive that comes with a sportier vehicle.
It's provides a lot of features for the money. I have used this car for several road trips, it has done wonderful. It cost very little to maintain. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a very reliable, low cost car with a lot of features! Mine even has a heating steering wheel! Love it!
If you've ever seen the Nissan commercial where the new dad has to trade in his 370Z sports coupe for a family hauler, but still wants to have fun (spoiler: he gets a Maxima), that commercial really rings true with this car. I, myself, am a recent father (one year now) but I still want to have fun in my suburban street pounder. The Maxima is a great fit for that.
With nearly 300 horsepower under the hood coming from Nissan's highly acclaimed and aggressive sounding VQ35 3.5 liter V6 engine, the car's got more than enough going for it to keep the blood flowing at stoplights. Couple that with a suspension that feels agile and athletic, even in the standard version, and you can't wait for the next family errand in it.
