The Murano is a good value. Overall, I have found that you can get more for the same money by going with Nissan vs. other brands. This has been consistent over the last 3 vehicle purchases I made - the Murano follows suit.
The Murano is stylish, comfortable, and very smooth to drive. Initial quality appears to be very good. Fuel mileage has been consistent with my expectations (20+ MPG in a combination of city/highway driving).
The only criticism I have is that the upgrade Bose stereo is not up to date. While it does have a 6 disc in-dash CD changer with the ability to play MP3 cd's, it does NOT have an external AUX IN jack. It does have a casette player - this needs to be swapped for the AUX IN jack.
I LOVE our Murano. I was originally looking for something big and boxy, like a Jeep Cherokee or a Toyota 4Runner, but after the test drive, my husband and I were impressed with the head clearance and the room inside of the Murano. Even the passengers in the backseat have plenty of room. We have now owned our Murano for about 6 months, and it impresses me more each day. We have driven it across 5 states, and it is comfortable on long trips and the gas mileage is really good for a decent size automobile. My husband was recently rear-ended by a Toyota Tacoma and we didn't even see a scratch, but the truck looked like it had been hit with hammers. A couple of my friends now also own Muranos and we all love them for their reliability and versatility.
We love our new car, we took it on a short road trip just under 2800 mils in two weeks. We went throught oregon and then droped down throught the Klamath national forest out to the 395 behind Shasta ,Lasson, Plumas, Toiyabe and the high sierras, . One of the windest roads i have been on the Sonora pass-108 it was great and the Murano performed great pulled every hill we asked it to with more power then needed, stuck tight to the roads through every curve and turn. The Murano gave us 23.9 Miles per gal. I am inpressed with my new car. It never left me wanting more or needing more.
