I needed a 6-cylinder car with better gas mileage, so I spent over 7 hours on-line researching and review-reading. Although we had never purchased a foreign-made car, the Nissan Mirano kept turning up with rave reviews - we looked for and purchased a used 2007.
The interior is roomy, and accommodates the leg room needed by my teenaged sons. The gadgets, both standard and part of an add-on package, far exceed anything we have ever had before, offering digital screen info for temp, needed maintenance, trip 1 or 2 info, and radio settings. We have a sunroof, rear air conditioning, and steering wheel-controlled radio & cruise controls. There are even buttons to adjust the brake/gas pedal height, and the up/down angles of the head lights - things I had never even thought of adjusting before, but appreciate now. My mpg is slightly under the reported 20 city/24 highway; I do get 19-20 city, but average 21 highway - slightly lower than the reported 24mpg. Also, the back cupholders are in a fold-down middle-seat armrest, so if we carry 5 passengers we have no back cupholders -a minor inconvenience. All-in-all, are very, very happy and satisfied with our Nissan Murano car purchase. So far, it's the best car we have ever owned.
Many drivers who want a best crossover seek out one of the popular vehicles on this list. Why the big deal about a crossover SUV? It’s the solid mix of roomy interior and a smaller size that fits in plenty of parking spaces.
