Used 2008 Nissan Pathfinder LE for Sale
Reviews for 2008 Nissan Pathfinder
Went from a domestic mid-size passenger van to the Nissan Pathfinder & LOVE IT !! No, not as much room but I never really used all the room in my van anyway. The QUALITY I remember from owning a Nissan Maxima in the past is revisited in the Pathfinder. Nissan definitely puts out a solid product and has for at least a decade. As a female, it takes some " UMPH " to steer but I love it! It has OUTSTANDING power, smooth ride and can be driven as aggressively as you feel comfortable with, just ask my husband, please excuse the expletive but it " HAULS BOOTY !! " Highly recommended product, a great value for the price paid. I recently had to drive thru flood water (live Houston TX)& was impressively equally as tall as a full size truck and able to handle it without a problem, luckily. WE LOVE OUR NISSAN !!
I have been very pleased with our Pathfinder. The third row seat provides us with the flexibility to either take more people or more cargo. It provides plenty of space and yet I get decent gas mileage with the V6 versus the larger SUVs.
If you want a truck with the benefits of an SUV, this is the vehicle for you -- but remember that it is a truck at the core. It's a rough ride, even on the highway, so plan on getting tossed around a little on rougher city streets. Handling is truck-like and you can feel the idling engine throughout the body of the truck. The tradeoff is that it has terrific off road capability and a high fun factor. Personally, I love the truck feel and don't mind a little bit of unrefined-ness. Gas mileage is better than most in its class while performance is excellent. I got the V8 and get about 19-20 MPG average on the highway. Stop-and-go depends on how heavy your foot is but my mileage hovers around 16-17 MPG. The interior is extremely bland unless you're getting the LE, which is quite nicely equipped. Fit and finish is very decent. Every car has its particular issues and the Pathfinder is no exception. When buying a used one, be prepared to replace a few minor sensors (speed sensor, tire pressure sensors if equipped) and bushings (stabilizer bar bushings, hood stops, body mount bushings). Some bigger issues common to the Pathfinder to watch out for are a commonly defective radiator which causes transmission failure, corrosion of rear A/C lines, and engine timing chain guide failure. Overall, this is a great truck and I've been quite happy with mine.
