I loved the Pathfinder even before I drove it! But after driving it and now owning mine for a month, I must say that I wish I had bought mine sooner! It hugs the road and corners like no other. I was worried that my driving would put it to the test, but it has hung tough with me, the road warrior. My friends all agree how spacious and roomy it is when they get in for a ride, which I take as a compliment :) I would absolutely recommend the Pathfinder to a friend, and one actually went out and got one the very next week!
I love my Pathfinder SE. The desert stone exterior hides dirt very well. It is clear that Nissan consulted mom's before designing this vehicle. The is a LOT of storage space. The trunk space has hooks for cargo. The rear door has a compartment for a first aid kit and a spare compartment. Also, the door can be lifted or the window hatched open to load or extract cargo. The third row seating stowes into the floor for a flush cargo space. There are cup holders and a storage box beside the third seating. The second row's two end seats are easy to fold up to allow passage to the third row. There are two cup holders and air vents for the second row. The driver's seat has electronic controls and a great adjustable lumbar support. The second row also offers a hidden storage area. Both the driver's and passenger's windows have the automatic up and down switches. The middle console is HUGE! I love the space that it offers for storage. Both the passenger's and drivers doors have storage bins as well. The glove box is a 2 compartment box. There is the traditional glove box with a flat compartment above it. The is an organized mom's dream come true. The vehicle took some getting use to as it is my first SUV. It rides great for an SUV, according to my husband. It handles like a truck in many ways. However, I don't feel like I am driving a truck. I love the roar of the "Tiger" when I crank her. We nickname it the "Tiger" after a tank. Our last Nissan was the "Panzer". You just couldn't kill it!! When we replace this vehicle, I will replace it with another Pathfinder! I am an aggressive driver and get around 15 mpg shuttling the kids around. On the highway, we get 22 mpg!
I purchase this car in June, 2012, and so far it has been a great car, very comfortable for city driving and specially on long trips, which are going to be very seldom due to gas prices going up, that is the only drawback with this car, it uses a lot of gas for today's prices. Also, at the beginning, the car felt a little heavy to drive, even though you can also feel the powerful engine too, kind of a contradiction there. I am getting used to the feel of the car. Overall, I am very pleased with this car, I really love it, I just wished it didn't use so much gas (17-20 mpg).
