No not buy a Nissan

I have major issues with this car. It has constantly been in the shop the last two years that I have owned it. I am continually fixing the breaks and alignment. I spent close to $3,000 in car repairs. The digital control panel doesn't work properly and it only reads the last three digits of the mileage. The power steering is now not working as well. I can not wait to get rid of this horrendous minivan...I will never a purchase another Nissan. I still owe until April 2015 on this car and it can not come soon enough

A Great Family Road Trip Vehicle

I am so happy I did not listen to the consumer and auto site negative reviews of the '09 Quest. It is absolutely the best road trip vehicle I have ever owned (and I have owned over 15 vehicles including full size Mercedes and even a '72 Buick Electra.) It rides well, it's quiet, it handles well for a mini-van, and it has a smooth and powerful Nissan 3.5l V6 engine under the hood. Our SL also has the leather interior and the built in entertainment system keeps the kids happy. It has lots of room for people and their stuff. We have done two long cross country trips with it and even 14 hour days are a piece of cake. We test drove the Honda Odyssey EX-L RES, Toyota Sienna XLE, Hyundai Entourage, and VW Routan and the Quest beat them all. The Honda handled better but it was noisier and rode stiffer (plus it had cheap armrests). The Toyota was quieter and rode better but it was slower and it handled like my old Buick. The only negative with the Quest so far has been the HVAC system. It has never completely stopped working but once the fan speed stayed full on and another time the ventilation selector function went inop. Both fixed under warranty and since I have the Nissan Security-Plus Gold plan they gave me a rental to use. One other caution - if you are thinking of buying a Quest with leather make sure the seats work for you. They are pretty firm and take some getting use to. Overall we are extremely happy with our Quest (even with the HVAC glitches.) It's just that good of a family road trip car.

Car problem from day one

The car was nice the first day and the price speak for itself. The car had issues and problem even before we drove it out. It's only been 3 months, the car starts making mechanical noise. The DVD and wireless head phone are still not working.
