This van was purchased as a result of searching for something that could haul us 1500 miles one way to visit family every year. Overall, this van exhibits its 'performance' aspects with great handling for this class of vehicle, lower -feeling center of gravity, and sure-footed feedback. From the customer perspective, the dual DVD screens, only available in this make/model at the time, full control over the videos and sound for the second and third row from the front passenger seat, and abundant room (biggest in class), allowed for a 21-plus hour drive to pass almost painlessly. We drive the 04 SE version, with every option except nav (I like it that way, I can move the portable nav to any of my vehicles), which gives is all power options, including both sliding doors and rear hatch, dual front and separate rear climate controls, and leather (a must for cleaning up from the kids on the trip). The van has its quirks, Nissan could improve on the power sliding door action, and the fact that you can open the sliding doors with the fob without unlocking the van (don't set your keys down in the back and close the doors/hatch, or you're locked out!!!!!), but, 2004 was the first year for this model, and it has worked well for 60+K miles only needing maintenance and tires to this point. I'd buy another one.
Very roomy. Can comfortably seat six even with 3 car seats. I'm 6'4" and I've got lots of legroom. Gas mileage isn't great ~18-19 mpg. Ours came with a strong smoke odor that we've not been able to fully expunge yet but we're still trying. So-so acceleration but that's expected in a van, but it drives better than a van. That's our only real complaint.
Powerful engine. Smooth running comfortable car.
