Reviews for 2012 Nissan Sentra
2012 Sentra SE-R
The 2012 Nissan Sentra SE-R is a compact sedan with a very large interior. It's upgraded suspension really grips the road and the 2.5 engine has vast amounts of torque. The CVT transmission is unique in sound and feel but works well with the engine to give you constant power. The brakes are very strong and the tires very grippy. The seats are very supportive but the dash and doors have an unusually cheap feel. The rear seats do not fold down which is very dissapointing but the trunk has a vast amount of space. Overall, the Nissan Sentra SE-R is a car I'd recommend and with the incentives from Nissan make it a good bargan for anyone looking for a resonably high performance sedan.
Smooth ride with excellent fuel economy
Great overall, some mechanical deficiencies
It's a great compact car. This version came with some upgrades that made the car feel a bit more like a luxury car than an economy car. I've taken it on long road trips, performed well. However, regarding the mechanical integrity of this particular model of Nissan Sentras, it has some quirks. The continuous transmission provides a couple problems with the sound of grinding gears during shifting points and the brakes seem to stutter more (with only 30.000 miles on them). Also the suspension seemed to wear quickly, causing clicking noises anytime the steering wheel is turned. Overall though the car has held up well for the last 4 months, even if it sounds like it could break sometimes. I've been satisfied with my first vehicle purchase.
