2009 Nissan TitanDesmo - Texas the Truck Capital of the US01/28/2012
I test drove all the full-size pickups prior to making my purchase and the Titan just felt more solidly built. It rides extremely well has plenty of power and fit and finish exceeded the other vehicles except the Tundra. The Tundra was fine, I just don't like the external styling however I am sure it is a fine Truck. The Titan also has a lot of well thought out features that just makes sense for a truck owner. The American made trucks (I bought used) just seemed like they aged faster than the Titan. My Titan still feels new while the others didn't. I average between 14-15 MPG which isn't great but is a good tradeoff for the power and responsiveness. I expect this truck to last me 15 years easy.

Other than fuel mileage, the room in the cab and the pickup of the engine and the style of the truck.
A Good Value

I have had my 2007 Titan for 1 year. It handles well in the snow and thick mud that I frequently find myself in. The inside is comfortable. Gas mileage is only fair - around 14 mpg. I previously had a F150 and find that the Titan is comparable - with the exception that the Ford had an awesome clear coat on the paint job- I find that the Titan has a lower quality paint - and chips easily with road debris.
My differential went out at 25,000 miles but was replaced on warranty.
They’re big. They’re bold. They’re kinda in your face. Tall pickup trucks and SUVs have the kind of ride height that gets you over, through, and around the kind of rough terrain which stops other vehicles in their tracks. If you live in a place with lots of snow, mud, or uneven ground, ride height (defined as the distance between the bottom of your truck’s tires and the lowest point on the underside) is probably more important to you than road-hugging and handling characteristics and strong fuel efficiency.
