Unbelievably noisy - road noise. Prone to problems: such as seat heaters and windows not working, frame rusting severely, Window seal on passengers side leaks water when raining and drips down in front of door power controls. Breaking system on snow is worthless. When breaking below 20mph feels like your pulling a horse trailer loaded trying to stop...motor pushing rpms too high. In the cold window seals shrink and cold air blasts through cabin. Back up sensors do not work properly beeps every time it is in reverse with nothing behind it. Will be unloading this truck in the spring. Almost a complete disappointment.
2008 Nissan TitanLarry - Los Angeles, CA09/12/2009
This is my first truck, although I've wanted one for many years. It is a huge beast compared to what I'm used to - king cab and long bed - so it isn't an easy vehicle to take to the supermarket, etc. I bought it mostly for trips and for hauling my bike, and it fits that bill really well. It is very comfortable, well-engineered and well-constructed. It has a huge gas tank (37 gallons). The good news with that is that I don't have to fill it very often. The bad news is that when I do, it costs over $100.
The Nissan Titan is a great value in a 1/2 ton truck. The Titan combines stellar quality with stellar pricing to give you one of the best values in a great looking, great performing, well appointed package. It has all the power you could want for hauling or towing while you ride in total luxury. The infotainment system gives you all the features you could ask for like streaming pandora from your phone (and controlling it with full display from the screen), google send-to-car, bluetooth calling, text to voice, and more. The best part is that the Titan is often over-looked in the 1/2 ton truck market so you can find a great deal. You get so much more for your money than someone choosing another brand. They're all over-hyped.
They’re big. They’re bold. They’re kinda in your face. Tall pickup trucks and SUVs have the kind of ride height that gets you over, through, and around the kind of rough terrain which stops other vehicles in their tracks. If you live in a place with lots of snow, mud, or uneven ground, ride height (defined as the distance between the bottom of your truck’s tires and the lowest point on the underside) is probably more important to you than road-hugging and handling characteristics and strong fuel efficiency.
