2007 Nissan VersaLohasta - Little Rock, Arkansas05/02/2008
I purchased a 2007 Versa SL Hatchback in May of '07, and loved it.
I totaled it in a 50 mph collision where I rear ended a truck in October. Though the front end 'looked like a shark had taken a bite out of it,' I was completely uninjured. Both the officers on duty, and the EMS personnel that arrived commented on how well the car stood up considering the force. I was told they were surprised I wasn't needing a backboard, and that the jaws of life weren't required to free me from a crumple of metal.
So, when it came time to purchase another one, I was almost scared to by anything else! It stood up to its 5 star crash test rating like a champ, I was so proud of it!
On non-safety related issues... My friends are amazed that I have a car that's as affordable as the Versa is, and still have Bluetooth in the car, am able to unlock and start my car without EVER having to pull my keys out of my purse, and have a sweet system with full audio controls on the steering wheel in addition to the bumpin' factory installed sub.
It's extremely fun to drive. My 6'7" salesfriend, and my 6'2" boyfriend are comfortable in it and are able to stretch out. The Hatchback's back seat has flip down cupholders in the middle, and also have a 3/5 split fold down seat.
I've had no problem with the sun/moonroof, or anything else on the car for that matter. The gas mileage is awesome as well, especially for being a midsized vehicle... I average 29.5-31.75mpg every tank.
I first fell in love with a Nissan Rogue, but it was out of my price range. The Versa was the second car I test drove that I fell in love with. It handles excellently, I feel secure in my new car. It is also super comfortable. I was forced to sleep in my car not too long ago, and the seats just hug your back and make sure you are at ease. I drove it down to SPI from Houston and used 3/4 tank to get there, and 3/4 tank to get back! I can drive it 268.7 miles and only use 8.4 gallons (I keep track every time I refuel). I'm very happy and feel very blessed with my Versa Hatchback.

This car has been great. We've owned it for just over a year, and had bought it brand new. It's been on 3 road trips and averages about 35 miles to the gallon on the highway. It's very comfortable, and has a nice interior. We recommend this to those who want a small economic car.
