2008 Nissan VersaMr. Bob - Northern Virginia05/19/2010
I intentionally purchased the Nissan Versa based on other reviews that gave it high marks as an economy commuter car that had a lot of features for the value. All of those reviews were correct. My Versa has mad the perfect daily commuter, and I'm putting almost 300 miles a week on it. So far, I have been extremely impressed with the interior comfort, excellent on-road handling, and interior features.
I would obviously prefer more power for the engine, but the Versa has more than enough for passing and getting up to highway speeds. It is also extremely quiet running at around 70mph, which is a marked difference from my last car. At that speed, I can hardly tell the engine is even running.
I have some issues with steering wheel wobble when decelerating from highspeeds quickly, and will have that looked at when I take it to the dealer for its next service. Other than that, the car is ideal as a daily driver.
There is not a ton of cargo room in the trunk, but the volumes of back seat space make up for that. There's so much room back there! I'm 6'0, and with the front seat set to where I like it, I can sit behind the driver, and have at least 8 inches of leg room.
My Versa is getting superb MPG right now, even with my heavy foot. EPA rated MPG is somewhat misleading, so I will say this. I can get anywhere between 320 and 400 miles to a tank (Regular Unleaded) depending on how hard I'm driving the car, and how much I'm running the A/C. Running the A/C most definitely affects the MPG. But it's still pretty good, so I have no worries doing so.
If you're looking for an economical, efficient, daily driver or commuter car, don't hesitate with the Versa. I love the hatchback's styling much more than the 4-door. Props for my Versa!
This car is a extremely good car and is great for a family. It seats 5 people and has a good sized trunk. It has a great engine, I have had no problems what-so-ever. It is also a very cute car and the comfort is amazing. Very easy also to drive. I give it a 5 stars!

I love this car. I wanted to downsize from a SUV because of gas mileage and the Versa was the answer. This car gets great gas mileage plus all the bells and whistles one could want and more on a car. We just took a trip and even with the smaller storage (we have a hatchback) we had room for everything and it was comfortable to drive.
