My Xterra is super comfortable and I'm happy with just about everything so far. My only complaint is that when I have the heat set on the floor only it's still as if I have it almost completely on the upper setting. I have contacts and on long trips this makes them very dry! I had read reviews on other 05 Xterras that had commented on this and I took my chances but have to say I agree with them now. I'm still really happy and would make the same purchase again.
This is a very versatile vehicle. Holds 5 passengers comfortably but converts to large cargo capacity. The engine is responsive and the 5 speed automatic transmission operates seamlessly. Transmission kickdown is a nicely controlled event with no extreme reving or jerking. 5000 pound towing capacity is not limited to use of a weight distribution hitch like others in its class. Valley has a hitch that matches this capacity and useage. Power outlet in the rear is nice if you use a 12v fridge. Unless you're really short you have to duck your head to get in the front seats, but it's comfortable once you get settled. The center arm rest is too low and too far back so finding a good position for your right arm is difficult. The previous owner used a plug for a tire repair and it started leaking on the first long trip. The tire monitor caught the problem and a proper repair was done. The tire monitor took a couple of days before it reset. Overall it's a good, solid, useful vehicle if you don't need all the bells and whistles.
Nissan Xterra is a great Sport Utility Vehicle! Nothing to complain, great on gas, very low on service, very reliable. I had BMW X5 before, NEVER EVER GO BACK, much less worries about going to the shop every other week. Japanese car manufactures are the BEST!
