I love my Xterra. I have driven sedans and coupes all my life, and I am amazed at how this SUV rides. It is so smooth to drive and park. I can get into much tighter spaces easier than I could with my Pontiac Grand Am. It handles so well on the road. I have a long commute to work and I love driving now. The steering is great, parking is a breeze, and I can carry all my friends and family comfortably. I feel like I've lost carrying space in the very back because my car's trunk seemed to hold more of the things I kept back there while leaving ample room for extras, but overall I can still carry my necessities and haul groceries and other stuff around in the very back area. I love the sporty, rugged look of the Xterra, but I am so in love with how it rides. It handles like a dream!
Overall stable. Gas mileage not so good but overall an off road minded vehicle. A little light weight so real snow causes problems. Stable Japanese product, I would give it 3.5 stars but not able. In grade terms somewhere between C-C+. No auxiliary jack in the S model I have but CD/stereo. Not bad transport for regular sized folks, toddler/child seat causes problems with space, a little cramped.
From the first second I saw this car online, I knew that it was the one. This car is incredible. It handles very well, smooth gear changes, way better mileage than my last car, it has tons of room for cargo, and not to mention that this car looks tough. Tough and mean like a demon. The styling on the newer models is a lot more sculpted and defined than on the older models, which is a great thing. The audio system is great. The 2x4 to 4x4 switch is seamless! It is very comfortable to drive, even long trips(I've already driven it across several states already). All in all, I love this car. Nissan, I salute you; and my next car will definitely be another X-Terra.
