Pros and Cons to consider

I have a 2006 G6 GT. At first sight it is a beautiful car. I get compliments daily. It's cute and sleek and people ask about it all the time. On the down side, if you have a problem you are on your own. GM is not easy to deal with, nor was the dealer, frankly. The sunroof leaked and was "fixed" 6 times before a recall was issued and it was properly fixed. The rear speakers blew, there was some water damage (again a sunroof related issue) and they were "fixed" 4 times before they were in fact fixed right. The vanity mirror on the driver side won't close tightly, it hangs, and the dealer "fixes" it then when you open it again, you hear a snap and it's hanging freely once more. There was a 'thumping' sound in the steering wheel that the dealer could never hear and therefore couldn't fix. A private garage did finally solve that problem for me. My issue is that while this vehicle is cute, gets GREAT gas mileage and is overall a nice enough car, if you have any problems you are on your own with GM. I wrote numerous letters, contacted BBB and threatened lawsuits to get repairs made. Now I use a garage that honors my warranty but isn't the dealer and I have had success in getting issues resolved. Think long and hard about purchasing this car.

speed racer!!!

I recently purchased a 2006 pontiac G6 GT. It is awsome. I knew i wanted to test drive one the second i saw it, but I had no idea that it had so much power. It gets amazing gas milage considering how much pep it has. I average 25.6 mpg usually about 65 mph on hills, never flat land. It handles extremely well in all weather and the traction control helps a lot in the rain. My favorite feature is the automatic/manual transmition for sport driving, this car is flippin' awsome. OH, one more thing. the book says that it will get 28 mpg at best, but i recently took it on a road trip and averaged 29.5 mpg.

This car is a very unusual style - sort of like a mini-bat-mobile, so it really gets attention. It looks much more expensive than it actually is, and rides very smoothly. Has a great safety rating - I bought one for my daughter and another for my grand-daughter.
