Customer Review Summary for Pontiac G5
2007 Pontiac G5bumblebee - Columbus, Oh03/12/2011
I love my G5. It was not my first choice but now that I am in it I couldn't imagine driving another vehicle. The ride is smooth and the gas milage is great, even with the recent spike in gas prices. It is really comfortable. But then again I am only 5'3' so I don't need much room. Great vaule for what I paid. I think I am now a Pontiac girl.
Beware of Pontiac
2007 Pontiac G5Shortie - Memphis, TN11/03/2008
I have had issues with my car since I drove off the lot. The front end has a strange popping noise when turning. Pontaic continues to say they can not duplicate it. It continues to get worse! The appearance is great! The comfort is good. I will not recommend my year model to anyone due to the front end issues. I am afraid that it will break or snap into while driving down the road. I discovered I could get a full size car at the same price I got my car for
Best little car
2009 Pontiac G5Nurse T - Wilimington, NC11/09/2017
I purchased this car used in 2012 when it had about 60k miles on it. For the next 5+ years I enjoyed this car beyond belief. It was recently totaled and I am devastated.
This 5 speed was so fun to drive. It was a primary car for me and I really enjoyed the responsiveness of this car.
Not to mention it was quite a looker and the only thing that I added was aftermarket rims.
The biggest pro was that this car was extremely reliable and I had no major issues at all. I maintained it well and it served me well. I had planned to drive it forever and estimate that I could have easily gotten another 100k out of her.
This is why now, even with all the newer more cars out there, I am considering buying another in 2017!
Though its tenure was short-lived and it was only available in the US for a single model year, the Pontiac G8 is still largely considered one of the best American sedans produced in recent history. The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
