I LOVE this car!

2008 Pontiac G6 Rebel Fan - Las Vegas, NV 02/20/2009

I am just coming up on my first anniversary with my G6 and am completely pleased (and only one ticket so far). Nice level of sporty performance and handling, very comfortable and will honestly seat four adults. This car gets lots of attention. I had always wanted a convertible, but this is the first one I've ever owned. I am enjoying it tremendously. I can't decide if it looks better with the top up or down, it's gorgeous either way. Top down, full open air experience, although you can still have conversation in a normal tone of voice. Top up, the G6 feels like a regular coupe, nice and quiet with no wind noise. The retractable top works flawlessly. This car's drivetrain package is geared so it's fastest where you need it, at freeway passing speeds. It really likes to run at upper highway speeds. Handling is very quick and responsive. Mileage is a consistent 18 mpg around town, 25 to 28 on the road. The Onstar system and satellite radio are features I now consider essential equipment. After 15,000 miles in this car, I have absolutely no complaints. Just looking forward to the next 15,000.

Pontiac G6 Convertible - Perfect... except

2008 Pontiac G6 Chrisbo - Alexandria, VA 06/19/2011

I was in the market for a convertible and was looking at new in 2011 when a GM-fan friend of mine suggested the G6 Convertible. I got one with every possible option for a great price. I love the car. It's performance is much more lively than I expected and it's solid as a rock. It's quiet with the top down and silent with the top up. The seats are comfortable, although I think the previous owner may have been quite a large person, because the driver seat has flattened out a bit compared to the passenger side. Like most convertibles, rear visibility is not as good as my old hatchback, but it's tolerable as the rear pillar is not overly wide. The gauges are well laid out and easy to read... and I like Pontiac's red digits. The red LED digits on the radio are pretty hard to read in sunlight, but once I've got my iPod hooked up... who cares?!?! The only down side... the mileage. The sticker says 20/28 but I get 20 overall and I don't drive it hard. I drove 100 miles on the interstate a while back and still only got 23 mpg for that tank. Fortunately it's regular fuel and I don't drive a whole lot, but I mention it in today's high-gas-price environment. Overall, I would buy one again in a minute! I don't know what I will do if I want to replace this one someday, now that Pontiac's no longer in business! Maybe I should buy another one now as a spare! Chris
