This is an overall "ok" vehicle. Sleek look, good handling, decent MPG. However keep in mind it is a GM and has a horrible depreciation rate (like most American vehicles) but for the money you get what you pay for. Many people have had this problem and there has been an official recall for the 05-06 G6 models, the brake lamps may not operate properly because of a corrosion in the wiring harness. Therefore not warning following drivers that the vehicle is braking and can possible lead to a collision. Anyway, it's supposed to be "fixed" for free so if you have that problem, there ya go. 3 star rating overall, nothing special -- decent car.
It's A Great Car!
2006 Pontiac G6Jessica - Racine, WI02/02/2009
I bought my G6 in March of 2006 brand new and already have 67,000 miles on it. It has never been in the shop for more than the normal maintnance. I love the way it handles and for a 6 cyl. engine it's great on gas. The only thing I would change about the G6 are the seats. On long road trips they get a little uncomfortable but nothing I can't deal with. For a 4 door sedan the G6 looks great and have some awesome options available. I would recomend the G6 to anyone! It's a great car!
2010 Pontiac G6SAL - Riverside, CA03/15/2011
I love my G6!! I named her Missy. She is soooo sexy. I am sad that GM will no longer be making these cars. They have always been my favorite and this is the 4th that I have owned personally. I had to get one of the last ones!!!
Though its tenure was short-lived and it was only available in the US for a single model year, the Pontiac G8 is still largely considered one of the best American sedans produced in recent history. The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
