Customer Review Summary for Pontiac G6
2006 Pontiac G6
G6 Dad - Raleigh, NC03/09/2007
This car can be a family car for four, but is sporty enough for the Dad. The 3.0L v6 has plenty of power, it handles well, fairly good gas mileage. The panoramic window is nice but is a little noisy and rattles. Rides well on long trips and very easy to drive in town.

I am very satisfied with my car. It had more than I bargained for. 6 disc changer, moonroof, free satellite radio, low miles.

I had to get a new vehicle because my '99 Ranger had to have a lot of repairs and it just wasn't cost effective. That, and I have a child on the way and need to get a more car seat friendly vehicle.
The G6 is great! It's not terribly huge and has a good bit of space. More space than I'm used to previously in my 2D Ranger. I like the interior and the bucket seats.
It's a V6 so there's enough pickup in it to do what you need. It's not as good on gas as I'd like it to be, but that's because it's a V6 and not a 4cyl.
The only real downside is that it's really low. Low enough that a pregnant wife has trouble getting out. But that's a temporary problem.
This was a great purchase for me.
Though its tenure was short-lived and it was only available in the US for a single model year, the Pontiac G8 is still largely considered one of the best American sedans produced in recent history. The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
