I looked at a lot of cars before purchasing my G6 and had a hard time with the idea of paying such a large amount of money for what I wanted. My G6 came loaded with a 4 panel sunroof, heated leather seats, satellite radio and most importantly On-Star. I looked at an Audi, Acura, and BMW in the same size category with the same features, except for On-Star which was a huge selling feature. It was as comfortable as the Acura, handled as well if not better than the BMW, and was more car for less money that the Audi! I couldn't be happier!
After wanting a convertible forever, I looked at many cars in the under $40,000 range and decided on a G6 convertible. My local dealer had an '08 on his lot with 2800 miles on it and gave me a great deal. I've had it about a month and love it more all the time. This is a great looking car with both the top up or down, and the top works flawlessly. I have gotten raves from everyone who's seen it. Many of my friends who haven't driven an American car in years, if ever, are amazed at the level of quality and value in this car. Performance is great, and very comfortable. Even adults sitting in the back seat say it's comfortable. Mileage is good, but it's not a Prius, it's much cooler then that. I don't even mind being stuck in traffic in this car. Drive one, buy one, thank me later.
I purchased the car in 07, car rides great. Performance is ok for a v6, good on gas. The only problem i have is that i have 32k miles on it and went through 3 brake jobs already. Talked to a couple of mechanics and said that gm went cheap on the braking system. other then that, the car is very dependable.
