Love my G6

2006 Pontiac G6 LUV MY AQH - Glen Burnie, MD 11/21/2006

I looked at a lot of cars before purchasing my G6 and had a hard time with the idea of paying such a large amount of money for what I wanted. My G6 came loaded with a 4 panel sunroof, heated leather seats, satellite radio and most importantly On-Star. I looked at an Audi, Acura, and BMW in the same size category with the same features, except for On-Star which was a huge selling feature. It was as comfortable as the Acura, handled as well if not better than the BMW, and was more car for less money that the Audi! I couldn't be happier!

This is a great American Car!

2007 Pontiac G6 Rebel Fan - Las Vegas, NV 04/07/2008

After wanting a convertible forever, I looked at many cars in the under $40,000 range and decided on a G6 convertible. My local dealer had an '08 on his lot with 2800 miles on it and gave me a great deal. I've had it about a month and love it more all the time. This is a great looking car with both the top up or down, and the top works flawlessly. I have gotten raves from everyone who's seen it. Many of my friends who haven't driven an American car in years, if ever, are amazed at the level of quality and value in this car. Performance is great, and very comfortable. Even adults sitting in the back seat say it's comfortable. Mileage is good, but it's not a Prius, it's much cooler then that. I don't even mind being stuck in traffic in this car. Drive one, buy one, thank me later.

review on 2007 g6 v6

2007 Pontiac G6 pontiac driver - round lake, il 04/08/2011

I purchased the car in 07, car rides great. Performance is ok for a v6, good on gas. The only problem i have is that i have 32k miles on it and went through 3 brake jobs already. Talked to a couple of mechanics and said that gm went cheap on the braking system. other then that, the car is very dependable.

Pontiac G6 Overview

The Pontiac G6 comes in three body styles: a four-door sedan, two-door coupe, and a convertible with retracting hardtop. As a mid-size vehicle aimed at commuters, the G6 had a lot of competitors during its short lifespan. While near the end, it may have been outclassed, the Pontiac G6 will now be very affordable for used car buyers in comparison to rivals.

Pontiac G6 History

Produced for six total model years, the Pontiac G6 range is a mid-size vehicle with sleek style and impressive fuel economy. Offered with a variety of body types and many engine options, the G6 has a lot to offer.

How It Drives

The Pontiac G6 was a go-to mid-size car due to its praiseworthy fuel economy, style, and comfortable drive. Though it may not have the highest power rankings against rival vehicles, it still offered generous room for anyone no matter the body style. This makes for a comfortable, smooth ride for any of the body types.

Used Pontiac G6 Value

The Pontiac G6 was a go-to mid-size car. It received consistent upgrades to ensure it can stay competitive with other sedans and is offered with solid performance from its V6 engine. The Pontiac G6 will likely be more comfortable in a test drive for used car shoppers, especially when compared to popular vehicles in the same segment.

Pontiac G6 Standard Features

The Pontiac G6 comes equipped with a 2.4L four-cylinder engine for its base model with upgrades to 3.5L, 3.6L, or a 3.9L V6 engine available. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, with a six-speed manual transmission as optional with the 3.9L V6 engine. The base G6 model is well-equipped, featuring a six-speaker audio system, power driver's seat, and premium cloth seats.

Reasons to Buy a Pontiac G8
Though its tenure was short-lived and it was only available in the US for a single model year, the Pontiac G8 is still largely considered one of the best American sedans produced in recent history. The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
