The Pontiac G6 is a midsize car that replaced the old Grand Am in 2005. I think the the G6 offers a plenty of style & performance. I have the 5 passenger sedan but the Hardtop convertible was very tempting .
The G6 hits the number on economy. The 3.5L V6 sips and can easily hit the high 20's MPG.
Simple things like automatic on headlamps and remote start make it a please to drive.
2006 Pontiac G6Nero - Tx09/25/2009
This is an overall "ok" vehicle. Sleek look, good handling, decent MPG. However keep in mind it is a GM and has a horrible depreciation rate (like most American vehicles) but for the money you get what you pay for. Many people have had this problem and there has been an official recall for the 05-06 G6 models, the brake lamps may not operate properly because of a corrosion in the wiring harness. Therefore not warning following drivers that the vehicle is braking and can possible lead to a collision. Anyway, it's supposed to be "fixed" for free so if you have that problem, there ya go. 3 star rating overall, nothing special -- decent car.
Though its tenure was short-lived and it was only available in the US for a single model year, the Pontiac G8 is still largely considered one of the best American sedans produced in recent history. The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
