Great car!!!

I was pretty skeptical about buying this machine. I read about it, I joined some forums . Finally I took the decision to get a G8 base model -6 cyclinder. I used to drive a G35 before and then a 3.5L Nissan Altima. I am very happy as of today with the car , the comfort is amazing when compared to both the cars I have used. The acceleration is fast , there is an initial lag in acceleration which needs some tune up. The gas mileage is lil on the lower side compared to the Altima , I drive mostly on a highway to work, I get an average of 25-26. I believe this car would have been a real perfect one if pontiac still continue to manufacture it. RIP pontiac !!! i gave it 4 stars for the quality since I felt there is alot of plastic feel on the dashboard inside the car , the stereo and the speakers are not that great , but Its doesnt matter much for me , I can upgrade it anytime in the future, the stereo of my choice !!!

Pontiac finally did something right

This car is amazing. I was originally looking at a 5 series BMW, but read great reviews about this car so I decided to check them out. I'm glad I did. I think this car handles better than the BMW, has more get-up-and-go, and I always get compliments on the appearance. The interior is roomy and nice. Two full grown adults can ride comfortably in the back seat. Forget the luxury imports, and buy a G8 GT. It's twice the car at half the price. I hope GM rebrands it, and continues to sell it. I want another one :-)

Pontiac G8 GT

A little about me and why I chose this car. I am not a Pontiac fan, but there are two Pontiacs which I currently own. Pontiac Fiero GT and Pontiac G8 GT. With an extra addition in my family my Fiero was not, lets say a family car, I had to find something else; something that would be unique and will not put a burden on my budget. After two months of research I stumbled upon a spectacle called Pontiac G8 GT. This car had everything I wanted: great sporty look, lots of power, unbelievable amount of room in the cabin and trunk, unique because not a lot of these cars were released and not a lot of people have them, price is unbeatable for the item which I was getting. Then my concern was the fuel consumption, but it wasnt one of the high priorities on my list, but I still considered it. With expectation of spending a little more money on fuel I bought the car, but so far I drove 3000 miles on it and the average miles per gallon (MPG) is 16 both highway and city combined. If you ask me thats very good for a V8, 6.0L engine. For those who dont know me and most of you dont, I do not drive in a way to save fuel lets stop at that. Pros: Looks (Outside and inside), runs, handles, feels (Inside) great! If you want a car which turns heads, has power of a Corvette and still roomy for you and your family, but you don't want to spend lot of money, Pontiac G8 GT is the car to have. Surprisingly 16 MPG over 3k miles of both highway and city. Cons: No Bluetooth on my 2008 model. Lock on the inside glove compartment is flimsy and will open when you drive if you have a lot of heavy stuff inside of it.
