Just a fantastic car for the money. I have been averaging 22mpg with a good mix of city/highway driving. Both inside and out this car is a great buy. The backseat has enough room for both my kids car seats. The trunk has more space than you would ever think. Driving this is like driving a 4 door Corvette. Without a doubt it is a 4 door sportscar.
I bought a 2009 G8 about a year ago, and I LOVE this car! I've always liked Pontiacs since they provided good performance and styling at a reasonable cost, and I drove two Grand Prix's from 1993 to 2003. I think the G8 is the best car Pontiac produced. This car handles great, and the power in even the base V6 model, which I have, is great. I do a lot of driving on interstates in the mountains of western VA, and I have NO problem accelerating past 18-wheelers up hill. The only knock is the interior is a little cheap looking and already dated, but it's a minor drawback compared to all the great features in this car. As another reviewer stated - if this car is reborn under the Chevy label - I'm buying!
I bought brand new and loved every minute of it. Great performance and handling. The gas mileage is unbelievable considering the 355-hp V8. If only Pontiac could have produced this model another year or two they might have survived. I'm approached monthly about this car, people love it and want to know what it is. I kinda thought it would be my daddy sports car in disguise but moved to mountain/snow country and have to sell. It's a sad day for me.
