Pontiac G8 GT

2008 Pontiac G8 Yaro - Parsippany, NJ 12/27/2010

A little about me and why I chose this car. I am not a Pontiac fan, but there are two Pontiacs which I currently own. Pontiac Fiero GT and Pontiac G8 GT. With an extra addition in my family my Fiero was not, lets say a family car, I had to find something else; something that would be unique and will not put a burden on my budget. After two months of research I stumbled upon a spectacle called Pontiac G8 GT. This car had everything I wanted: great sporty look, lots of power, unbelievable amount of room in the cabin and trunk, unique because not a lot of these cars were released and not a lot of people have them, price is unbeatable for the item which I was getting. Then my concern was the fuel consumption, but it wasnt one of the high priorities on my list, but I still considered it. With expectation of spending a little more money on fuel I bought the car, but so far I drove 3000 miles on it and the average miles per gallon (MPG) is 16 both highway and city combined. If you ask me thats very good for a V8, 6.0L engine. For those who dont know me and most of you dont, I do not drive in a way to save fuel lets stop at that. Pros: Looks (Outside and inside), runs, handles, feels (Inside) great! If you want a car which turns heads, has power of a Corvette and still roomy for you and your family, but you don't want to spend lot of money, Pontiac G8 GT is the car to have. Surprisingly 16 MPG over 3k miles of both highway and city. Cons: No Bluetooth on my 2008 model. Lock on the inside glove compartment is flimsy and will open when you drive if you have a lot of heavy stuff inside of it.

A four-door Corvette

2008 Pontiac G8 Code3pro - Phoenix, AZ 01/03/2010

I have owned everything from a 1945 Willy's to a 600 hp Super Late Model Stock Car, and when it came time to buy a four-door American (Ok,Australian GM) car with a real trunk, big back seat, rear-wheel drive and enough HP to make it entertaining, the list was short, but the choice clear: A G8 GT. For the money, you can't beat this car. Build quality is excellent as the Australians don't tolerate bad cars. Interior plastics could be better, but hey, it's $40,000 cheaper than an M5 and nearly as fast. It sits on the road beautifully and drives much "smaller" than it is. Excellent power and amenities, plus you can put 5 people in with luggage with no issues. I regularly get 20+ mpg, and 360+ hp with that unmistakable American V8 growl makes this one fun car to drive. Highly recommended, and hard to touch performance and value for the price. Yes, they only made it for two years, but Chevy has a future for this car, so parts will be around for a long time.

Excellent

2009 Pontiac G8 Stevo - Florida 12/28/2012

Reasons to Buy a Pontiac G8
Though its tenure was short-lived and it was only available in the US for a single model year, the Pontiac G8 is still largely considered one of the best American sedans produced in recent history. The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
