Customer Review Summary for Pontiac Solstice
This is not your midlife crisis car!!
Ame - Michigan11/03/2008
Don't wait until your midlife crisis hits before buying this car. It is affordable, well made, fun to drive and HOT HOT HOT.
Even in the Midwest this car performs in the most treacherous of conditions. With the exception of a snow storm (where it has yet to be tested), this car has provided stability and traction in a variety of weather situations.
This car is definately the way to go. It is a great way to get an awesome car and still have money left to afford the gas.
2007 Pontiac Solstice

I love my Solstice! Growing up I had always wanted a dark green MG. Well, it took a "few" years to finally drive a car I had always wanted. I started comparison shopping at the beginning of the year. The two seat convertibles that are available today just don't have the style that the Solstice has. I have people pull up to me at stop lights asking what kind of car I am driving. In the 30 + years I've been driving, that never happened with my prior vehicles! The Solstice turns heads - men and women! It sounds like a sports car, takes turns and accelerates like a sports car, and most of all, looks like one. The top is very easy to take down and put up. I'm getting about 24 mpg for my everyday driving. I drive it to and from work every day. I still have my soccer mom mini van when I need to car pool, but it's been sitting in my driveway getting dusty with pollen. Every day I drive the Solstice is a fantastic day - absolutely no regrets. I have had it for two months and look forward every day to driving it. Love my Solstice - did I say it enough? Just love it! :)

I have always driven an SUV, and I thought I would never go to a car, much less a two seater. When I bought this car I loved the way it looked and felt but wasn't sure if I would like it in the long run. However, the more I drive this car the more I love it. It has amazing gas mileage, and drives amazing as well. Not to mention, if you are driving this car, you will ALWAYS turn heads. If you are looking for storage space, this is by far not the car for you. It has NO storage space, and the trunk space is a joke. If you have a passenger there is nowhere to even put your purse. However, if you're young and wanting a hot car, that runs amazing, and gets great gas milage, this is definitely the car for you! I have had NO problems with this car, and I love this car more and more every day, I HIGHLY recommend this car!
Though its tenure was short-lived and it was only available in the US for a single model year, the Pontiac G8 is still largely considered one of the best American sedans produced in recent history. The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
