2008 Pontiac Torrent
2008 Pontiac TorrentRedSox Jay - Glen Allen, VA12/28/2010
While overall I like my Pontiac Torrent, as I continue to drive it, I have found several items that I wish I could improve. The passenger seat has a hard plastic edge support which often pinches, or bruises passengers exiting the vehicle. There are no clips in the back seat of the vehicle to hang clothes, or dry cleaning. These are very commonly found in most other vehicles. There are no handles for passengers to hold onto when encountering a tight turn. Lastly, the cup holders, while present, are not conveniently located. While none of these issues has a significant impact on my overall satisfaction with the vehicle, or its performance, each is something that I will consider during my next vehicle puchase, hopefully many years from now.
My Pontiac Torrent is fun to drive and easy to look at. The adjustable rear seat allows me to have the kids in reach when needed and provides a little more leg room when transporting taller passengers, i.e, adults. Cargo space is plenty. The placement of the automatic window buttons took a little getting use to but proved to be in a convenient place. Child safety locks are adjusted using the car keys, making it impossible for the kids to turn them on and off at their convenience, which my kids have done with all of our previous vehicles. The car drives well with little to no jerking or loud engine reving during automatic gear shifts and power steering makes the car easy to control. The turning radius could be a little better but overall it's a great drive!
I love my car!

The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
