I purchased this car used in 2012 when it had about 60k miles on it. For the next 5+ years I enjoyed this car beyond belief. It was recently totaled and I am devastated. This 5 speed was so fun to drive. It was a primary car for me and I really enjoyed the responsiveness of this car. Not to mention it was quite a looker and the only thing that I added was aftermarket rims. The biggest pro was that this car was extremely reliable and I had no major issues at all. I maintained it well and it served me well. I had planned to drive it forever and estimate that I could have easily gotten another 100k out of her. Great car! This is why now, even with all the newer more cars out there, I am considering buying another in 2017!
My 2006 Vibe suits all my needs perfectly. I travel 70 + miles every single day for work, and this car more than does the job. I love opening the sunroof and enjoying the awesome stereo system. I've taken this car on several road trips and never had any issues with it whatsoever. It can store a LOT of luggage, especially if you fold the back seats down. I travel with my 68 lb Border Collie and a lot of musical equipment (speakers, mic stands, instruments, etc) and never struggle for space. I have also towed two 8-foot ladders at once by folding down all the seats except the driver's seat and they fit comfortable within the length of the car. All of my friends and family continue to be impressed with how versatile this vehicle is!
A little about me and why I chose this car. I am not a Pontiac fan, but there are two Pontiacs which I currently own. Pontiac Fiero GT and Pontiac G8 GT. With an extra addition in my family my Fiero was not, lets say a family car, I had to find something else; something that would be unique and will not put a burden on my budget. After two months of research I stumbled upon a spectacle called Pontiac G8 GT. This car had everything I wanted: great sporty look, lots of power, unbelievable amount of room in the cabin and trunk, unique because not a lot of these cars were released and not a lot of people have them, price is unbeatable for the item which I was getting. Then my concern was the fuel consumption, but it wasnt one of the high priorities on my list, but I still considered it. With expectation of spending a little more money on fuel I bought the car, but so far I drove 3000 miles on it and the average miles per gallon (MPG) is 16 both highway and city combined. If you ask me thats very good for a V8, 6.0L engine. For those who dont know me and most of you dont, I do not drive in a way to save fuel lets stop at that. Pros: Looks (Outside and inside), runs, handles, feels (Inside) great! If you want a car which turns heads, has power of a Corvette and still roomy for you and your family, but you don't want to spend lot of money, Pontiac G8 GT is the car to have. Surprisingly 16 MPG over 3k miles of both highway and city. Cons: No Bluetooth on my 2008 model. Lock on the inside glove compartment is flimsy and will open when you drive if you have a lot of heavy stuff inside of it.
