My last vehicle was a pickup, and I'm pleased with the Vibe. I bought the model with the 2.4L engine, and the acceleration is fantastic. Mixed use gives me 25-26 mpg. The only downside is that the cargo area is open to view. I bought a used Matrix cargo cover on Ebay, and I added a carpeted cargo mat. Roomy enough for 6'2" guy.
I'm a Ford man to be truthful. A Ford Man on a budget that put the Ford models out of my price range for the type of car I was looking for within my range. I wanted something kind of classy and kind of sporty at the same time that I could haul things in,as I'm a musician. I had no idea what I wanted other than that. It was suggested to me to check out the Pontiac Vibe and I was lucky enough to be able to see one at the lot that same day.I liked the car,but my mind was not yet made up.I looked at more cars online that night, but the more I did, the more I was liking the Vibe. A little over a month after buying the Vibe,I am VERY pleased with it.My father had a 2012 Honda Fit he bought brand new in the fall of 2011 that I was able to drive and this car performs every bit as good as the Fit.It is VERY comparable to the Fit. It is the EXACT same car as the Toyota Matrix (with a few differences like headlights & tail lights) - ONLY $3000 DOLLARS CHEAPER !!! I feel like I made out like a bandit... WHAT A CAR !!!
I never thought with my credit issues and past exp. with big car dealers that I would ever get approved for a NEW/(used) car!! I just want to say that I have always been a fan of Pontiac.. so when we went looking on through the lot I was instantly attracted to the Vibe and I didn't even know it was a Pontiac at the time. It only took a 10 minute test drive for me and my husband to fall in love with this car!!! It very roomy inside and the hatch back is really nice. The seats make the paint job ... all black! And it is so very pretty to look at! LOL .. The radio is amazing , as well as the ON STAR feature . I love everything about this car.
