Pleased with the overall purchase. The AWD, ABS, Airbags are a positive for safety. The Sun and Sound package are also a plus. Plenty of passenger room for four (ok for five adults too on a short trip). Cargo space for a small car was suprising. Handling is excellent in all weather and pickup onto expressway is more than sufficient. Engine packs more than enough punch. 16 inch aluminum wheel add for roadhandling and are sporty as well. Plenty of interior compartments for storage and the fold down rear seats add that much more. Front passenger seat folds down forward for even more space and it has a tray on the back of the seat which is a nice feature to pull over and use a laptop with the ac/dc outlets available. Cabin interior is a bit noisey on acceleration and the non carpeted cargo area adds to the chill on a cold day. Cargo cover is nice however must be clipped and unclipped after each use (a bit awkward). Kelly Blue book recommended cost on this year was a little less than priced however with AWD, ABS, automatic for the VIBE is hard to find out there and this had everything I wanted. It also looks like the VIBE is not going to have the AWD in 2007. "The Mini SUV."
2008 Pontiac VibeR Rodriguez - Corpus Christi, TX01/27/2016
Great car. Made by Pontiac but toyota drivetrain. Drives very nice, sporty and lots of benefits. Have a full size truck but find myself using my Pontiac vibe more and more because of the hatchback and fold down rear seats. My dogs love riding in it especially with the rear seats down. Driver's seat sits like I'm in my truck not like a car. With my back issues I'm able to get in and out comfortably and enjoy the ride.
Does it ALL !
2009 Pontiac VibeRoadrunner - Illinois to Vegas10/23/2010
Pontiac Vibe/ Toyota Matrix, call it what U want,it does it ALL.
Modern looks, reliability, and great gas milage. The GT package is worth the few dollars X-tra. Handles great, fairly quiet, great Sound system. Quite a bit of room and super handy with the seats folded down. The Tilt-Telescope Steering Wheel is another nice feature. Just like a small to medium SUV with a better ride and better MPG. Buy one, they're a well-kept secret and a real good value for the money, compared to honda and other SUV's which only do the same thing as the Vibe/Matrix, 99% of the time, and cost thousands more.
Cons: not much, a little hard for driver to see out of rear sides of the vehicle, but no worse than most autos of its type.
Though its tenure was short-lived and it was only available in the US for a single model year, the Pontiac G8 is still largely considered one of the best American sedans produced in recent history. The G8 was first developed and produced in Australia, where it was known as the Holden Commodore. It was rebadged for the North American market in 2008, where it replaced the Pontiac Bonneville.
