Purchased this car in Feb 2012. Wanted a roadster for a long time, but Vettes and BMWs are way outta my league price wise. Took a look at this car and totally loved it! Super fun to drive! I think the best features on it is the fact that the manual top is very easy to operate. Car as pretty good get up and go for a 4 cyclinder. Transmission shifts smoothly and quickly into gear like a roadster should. Mine has a manual 5 speed with cruise control, which is a first in a car with a stick for me. Drives and handles great! The car also really loves corners for sure with it's responsive and tight steering that gives great feedback all through the turn. Plus, I average approx. 25 mpg. I use it as a daily driver and my commute is 50 miles roundtrip each day. The interior is nice and simple. I am glad I did purchase one with leather seats. The only real complaint I have, which I have heard from other owners as well, is that the cupholders are in a very weird location. Almost behind driver and it makes it difficult to reach. And the trunk, with top down becomes almost useless. But then again, it is a roadster, not a minivan. I expected these things when looking for this type of vehicle. But all in all, especially for the price these cars go for, I am totally happy with my little American made roadster! I am, as they say, a very proud owner of this car! If you want fun, capable convertible two seater, this car is an excellent choice!
This car is a blast to drive, it is my toy I break out now and then to drive. Actually joined a Solstice club and we go on monthly runs....
I am on my 2nd Vibe and can't say enough about it. On the highway I get around 35 mpg. Going back and forth to work and a few other places, I generally fill up every 2 weeks, getting around 29 mpg. I usually keep the back seats down and can easily fit 2 medium dog crates and then some, in the back. I have never had a problem with either of my Vibes. They have a Toyota engine and are less money than the Matrix. I may get a third Vibe, because in my research, I don't find a car that can give me the gas mileage and quality for the price.
